Hong Kong born Anthony Lo has wanted to design cars since he was 11. Now 46, he has fulfilled his dream as one of the industry’s most respected car designer. Currently, he is Renault’s vice president of exterior design. He has also worked at other carmakers including Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Saab and General Motors. In Hong Kong, he studied at the Diocesan Boys’ School and then Industrial Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Abroad, he obtained a Master’s degree in Transportation Design from London’s Royal College of Art.
Hailed as “Asian Designer of the Year” by Elle Magazine, Lo oversaw the creation of innovative Saab concepts like the two-seater coupé Aero-X car, with its jet-plane cockpit canopy winning several car awards including the Best of Show at the 2006 Geneva Auto Show and 2006 Design of the Year from Car Design News. |
