In our current linear economy of ‘take-make-dispose’, many values are lost, and products are discarded even before they reach the end of their lifespan.  By applying circular business models, companies can uphold and capture those values and create business opportunities for themselves.  Designers can play a crucial role in the transition towards a circular economy.

In this panel discussion, Pieter van Os and Siem Haffmans, both renowned Dutch authorities in circular design and business, will discuss the challenges and opportunities for circular design and business.  They will share practical examples and inspiration for designers, business developers and policymakers on ways to embrace circularity, create business and make products that last longer.
