Tiffany Lau is a visionary commercial real estate executive, master placemaker, and urban strategist with over 20 years of global experience in Hong Kong and New York. Specialising in the strategic positioning and commercialisation of district-scale mixed-use portfolios, she has a proven track record of maximising Net Asset Value through data-driven ecosystems and complex public-private partnerships.

Recently, Tiffany served as Senior Principal of Strategic Placemaking at Hongkong Land, where she spearheaded high-impact pedestrianisation schemes and iconic district takeovers in Central Hong Kong. Her global portfolio includes serving as a management consultant for Vornado Realty Trust, where she drove the strategic development, public realm design, and marketing activations for the award-winning 9 million square foot PENN District portfolio transformation in New York City, as well as pre-development planning & strategy for repositioning of YTL’s historic Sentul Depot railyards and creative precinct in Kuala Lumpur. Her distinguished career also includes roles as an Executive Director and Head of Urban Ecosystems at JLL Asia Pacific, Executive Director of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hong Kong, Assistant Vice President & Chief of Staff at the NYC Economic Development Corporation under the Bloomberg Administration, and Assistant Vice President of Development & Capital Markets for Jamestown Properties.

A pioneer of the New Central Harbourfront Site 3 framework, the Walk DVRC pedestrianisation scheme in Central, and the Central District Alliance here in Hong Kong – Tiffany holds an M.Sc. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and an B.A. in Urban Design & Journalism from New York University. She is a current member of the ULI National Product Council (US) on Urban Revitalisation, the ULI APAC Product Council on Placemaking, and is a Lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, pioneering a new M.Sc. course on Experience Design & Management, part of the curriculum for “Leadership in the Experience Economy” degree programme.
