Hong Kong;3 October, 2025 - Organised by the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), in collaboration with the audio pioneer inheriting a century of sound artistry Bang & Olufsen (B&O) and the Hong Kong Institute of Professional Photographers (HKIPP), the exhibition “RECREATED CLASSICS: The Music Golden Age in Sound and Frame” will officially open from 3rd October to 12th November at the HKDI Experience Centre. Spanning the 80s, 90s, and 2000s, this exhibition showcases original copies of the film images and walks you through stories behind the creation of iconic album covers from the charismatic and legendary pop stars such as Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui, and the “Four Heavenly Kings.” With B&O’s century of acoustic craftsmanship, these classics are revived through immersive sound, alongside fresh interpretations from the new generation, crafting a nostalgic journey where sound and vision intertwine.

Continuing our long-term collaboration with the Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA), the “Graphic Design in Japan 2024 (Hong Kong Edition)” exhibition will be grandly held at PMQ from April 25 to May 11! This exhibition will showcase over 300 outstanding works by Japanese designers, with Creative Voice sessions, Designer-led Tours, and JAGDA Kids Workshops during the event, allowing you to experience the charm of design firsthand!

The 27th Designblok will take place from October 7–12, 2025, at the Prague Fairgrounds, Prague Castle, the Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Rudolfinum in Prague. The main theme of this year's event will be Courage. For the first time, Designblok will host a conference for designers, architects, and other professionals on October 7, marking an exciting new addition to the program.

Organised by HKDI, a series of master lectures under the theme of “Digital Disruption 數位顛覆” will take place from 25 March to 2 April 2025, offering a captivating exploration of digital art and media design.

Since 2014, ADI – Association for Industrial Design has established the Compasso d’Oro International Award, launching a series of themed editions open to international participation. Each edition is dedicated to a specific theme, aimed at exploring emerging and significant aspects of design in its continuous evolution.

The Italian Cultural Institute and the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong are pleased to support Produzione Privata, a solo show by Architect and Designer Michele De Lucchi, presented by Novalis Art Design Gallery. In this exhibition, the Testimonial of Design 2025 showcases a captivating array of handcrafted design objects that embody the spirit of experimentation and craftsmanship.
