Carlo Ratti教授是一名建筑师及工程师，现於麻省理工学院任教，并带领学院内的「Senseable City Lab」。他亦為国际设计及创新公司Carlo Ratti Associati的创办人，其作品於全球多个地方展出，包括威尼斯双年展、纽约现代艺术博物馆、伦敦科学博物馆以及巴塞隆拿设计博物馆。Ratti的其中两项作品 ─「Digital Water Pavilion」及「Copenhagen Wheel」被《时代杂誌》喻為「年度最佳创新之作」（Best Inventions of the Year）。此外，Ratti获设计杂誌《Blueprint》选為「25位改变设计界的人物」之一（25 People who will Change the World of Design），并获《Wired》杂誌选為「智慧名单：50位改变世界的人物」之一（Smart List: 50 people who will change the world）。Ratti是2015年米兰世界博览会「未来美食展区」的策展人，并现為世界经济论坛─未来城市及都市化发展委员会的联合主席。
