
ADI Design Museum in Milan fosters design culture both nationally and internationally, through the exhibition of the Compasso d'Oro permanent collection – a historical record of Italian design from 1954 to the present, officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture for its cultural significance – and the production of thematic exhibitions focusing on contemporary design, showcased abroad in international tours across Europe, Asia, and the United States. A dynamic museum born in 2021, a cultural center devoted to contemporaneity and research, it aims to play an active role within the global museum network. It is a place that transcend the traditional boundaries of cultural institutions, opening up to the complexity of a globalized reality in all its forms, establishing connections between world of design, business, fashion, architecture, art, science and technology.

ADI Design Museum’s touring exhibitions have been supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, as well as the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, with the aim of promoting Italian design worldwide.
Since its opening, the ADI Design Museum has presented exhibitions in continents worldwide, with a particular focus on Asia, strengthening its bond with the continent. Exhibitions have been showcased in cities such as Tashkent, Almaty, Tokyo, Singapore, Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Jeddah, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and many more.
