From Good Design to Design for the Common Good | BODW 2025

05 Dec 2025

Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator of Architecture & Design at MoMA, frames curiosity as both the engine and civic infrastructure of design, and the engine towards collective progress. Drawing on examples of design projects motivated by the desire to improve life conditions across communities and contexts, she shows a trajectory of design in the past few decades. She advocates research-led, experimental methods to build inclusive futures and deepen public understanding, until design’s impact is universally acknowledged.
