SDHK is a transformative learning experience that follows the principle of ‘Learn by Doing’. Our goal is to demonstrate the value and impact of Human Centric Design disciplines such as Design Thinking, Service Design & Customer Experience.
MAKE Studios has designed and run Service Design Hong Kong (SDHK) since 2016. SDHK is an annual 2-day event, featuring Design Thinkers, Service Design Practitioners, Corporate and Social Innovators from around the world, to showcase the best examples of product and service innovation from Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. SDHK is also an accredited event of BODW City Programme (CityProg) by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC).
During Day 1, we will find inspiration in Service Design trends and case studies. We will hear from a diverse mix of practitioners of tools and methods that they have used for good to create positive change in society, and the environment.
During Day 2, we will apply Day 1 learnings and leverage the methods and tools to our circular people or planet challenges. As design thinkers, we want to grow our craft and practice with new tools, methods, techniques to make service design better, to create a better way of working to create impact and do more good through design.
