Exploring New Horizons with Italy – Partner Country of BODW 2025
In mid-April, a delegation led by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), organiser of Business of Design Week (BODW), together with lead sponsor Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), co-organiser Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and strategic partners, embarked on an inspiring study trip to Italy, the Partner Country of BODW 2025.

The mission aimed to strengthen the year-long partnership between BODW 2025 and Italy, foster long-term collaborations, and advocate a broader global network for the cultural and creative industries.
We were honoured to have Mr. Carmelo Ficarra, Consul General of Italy in Hong Kong, personally lead the delegation. Highlights included visits to the world-renowned Salone del Mobile 2025 and Milano Design Week 2025, as well as a series of productive meetings and site visits across Milan, Bologna, and Venice.
