Normann Copenhagen continues with its quest to create beautiful and functional furniture this season - from tables and chairs, to lighting and mirrors, to name but a few.  Among them, Drape, which is inspired by draping fabrics with organic curves, features an elegant silhouette, a hard molded PU foam and steel or oak legs, providing a stable structure without compromising comfort. The elevated sides of the chair give a touch of relaxation whereas the wide seat allows for a multitude of seating positions, perfect for lounging for a movie or reading.

Ark brings a new interpretation of modular sofa designs. Taken from the Danish word arches which means typical and supportive arches, Ark is designed to offer softness with distinct use of pillowed sections. Following a classic, minimalistic style, the composition creates a sophisticated silhouette that adds a touch of elegance to any living spaces. The sofa also features a slight space from the ground to the seat, highlighted by powder-coated steel legs for easy maintenance and adding lightness to the design.

With the past few years seeing a trend of working from home, Normann Copenhagen has worked to design an office chair, Off Chair, that combines both form and function. It features all the basics of an office chair – gas lift, tilt functions, and high-backed seat – but with an unobtrusive and slender design. The rounded rectangular shape is classically inviting and reassuring. The mechanical components are subtly covered by the upholstered section to create a seamless silhouette.  The four-point legs and the five-wheel editions provide options for different needs.

Rib creates an extra level of depth to the standard storage solution. Inspired by the 1960’s Nordic summerhouses, the protruding wooden slabs create a unique exterior design while providing ample interior storage. Created with oak veneer, both the cabinet and sideboard feature removable shelves that can also be adjusted at various heights for different needs.

Turn Table is a classic collection of Normann Copenhagen, and its name suggests its uniqueness in its rotational movement.  Recently it has been given a slight facelift by designer Simon Legald, introducing two new colours – Black Marble and White Marble on the top of Black, Warm Grey, and Grey lacquered ash veneer. The addition of marble colours brings a fresh yet sophisticated look, and each unique cut of the marble brings different pattern variations to each Turn Table. The table provides adjustable height through the use of a manual turning mechanism, allowing adjustment from 41.5 cm to 64 cm. It showcases a bell-shaped steel base to give a visual balance to the design as well as creating a stable centre of gravity...

Striking yet subtle, Scala table is designed to be an adaptable table. The collection is designed to provide a table for different use – from smaller elegant coffee tables, to larger, bold meeting tables. The table is designed with a steel or aluminium frame combined with an oak veneer or marble top available in either square or circle shape.

The combination of steel and oak, or steel and marble is reminiscent of classic furniture designs. The versatility of the design makes it perfect for homes, restaurants, or offices, and the marble top selection also allows for outdoor placement too.

The various new collections have already gained recognition within the design community.
