Since the 1960s, Professor Jeffrey Shaw has pioneered the creative use of creative media in the fields of virtual and augmented reality, immersive visualisation environments, navigable cinematic systems and interactivity. He is Chair Professor of Media Art and Dean of the School of Creative Media at The City University in Hong Kong since 2009, and he is also the Director of the Applied Laboratory for Interactive Visualization and Embodiment (ALiVE) and Centre for Applied Computing and Interactive Media (ACIM).
Sarah Kenderdine is the Director of the Centre for Innovation in Galleries, Libraries and Museums (iGLAM) and Research Director of the Applied Laboratory for Interactive Visualization and Embodiment (ALiVE) at the City University of Hong Kong. She researches at the forefront of interactive and immersive experiences for museums and galleries, and her widely exhibited installation works amalgamate cultural heritage with new media art practice. She also holds the position of Special Projects, Museum Victoria, Australia.
