Studio Jean-Philippe Nuel

Trained as an architect, Jean-Philippe Nuel is an internationally recognised figure in the luxury interior design architecture sector within the hotel industry. His most iconic projects are the conversion of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu in Lyon and Hôtel-Dieu in Marseille (Intercontinental), Molitor Hotel and Les Cures Marines de Trouville (MGallery Collection - Accor), La Clef Champs-Elysées (Ascott), Le Cinq Codet in Paris, Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese hotel, and the renovation of the exploration ship The Commandant Charcot and Le Ponant cruise ship of Compagnie du Ponant. More recently, Nuel designed N Le Spa at the emblematic Hôtel Le Negresco in Nice.

With a team of around thirty collaborators, Nuel’s studio also applies its expertise to projects including private residences, concept stores, corporate headquarters, and cruise ships (Ponant). In line with his background, he continues to undertake architectural projects, either independently or in collaboration, including hotels, private residences, and wineries.

At the same time, Nuel’s work in object design with renowned publishers such as Ligne Roset, Talenti, Duvivier, and Saint Luc enables him to engage with projects of various scales, from architecture to design, to interior decoration, thus seeking strength and coherence in each of his achievements.

Jean-Philippe Nuel considers each project as a human and creative adventure, which is rich in encounters and sharing.

The Studio completed the Club Med Tomamu Hokkaido in Japan, two flagship stores "Ginza Maison Henri Charpentier" in Tokyo, and "Maison Henri Charpentier Ashiya" in the region of Osaka. Jean-Philippe Nuel also created the concept of the Taj Hotel in Pondicherry, India.
